While the previous Netflix series had no direct connection to the movies, Disney + ‘s MCU shows have all been openly linked to the franchise’s big screen release. The first two shows featured B-level Avengers and the third featured a fan-favorite villain. There are plenty more Marvel shows coming to Mouse House’s streaming platform, and it’s a safe bet that at least a few of them will feature major MCU players in the game. supporting cast.
Some character appearances are already confirmed, like Bruce Banner in She-Hulk, Nick Fury in Secret invasion, and Yelena Belova (the new Black Widow) by Florence Pugh in Hawk Eye. These other characters could also appear.
ten Pepper Potts (Iron Heart)
Gwyneth Paltrow said her stint in the MCU ended with the emotional closure of her final scenes with Robert Downey, Jr., but she could probably be convinced to come back with the right story.
In the next Stone heart series, Pepper Potts could officially endorse Riri Williams as Tony Stark’s successor and grant him a grant from Stark Industries to develop his technology like Tony himself did in the comics.
9 Shuri (Untitled Wakanda Series)
In addition to Black Panther Next, Ryan Coogler is developing a series for Disney + that will focus on Wakanda. The show would be presented as an origin story for Okoye, the general of the Dora Milaje played by Danai Gurira.
But it’s unlikely that Okoye will be the only familiar character to appear in the untitled Wakanda series. T’Challa’s genius sister Shuri, the inventor of most of Wakanda’s coolest stuff, could also make an appearance.
8 Natasha Romanoff (Hawkeye)
Since he was teased in a throwaway line in the first Avengers movie, Marvel fans were dying to see what happened during Black Widow and Hawkeye’s mission to Budapest. More broadly, fans want to see the pre-Avengers the era of their friendship – working for SHIELD, kicking butt, and taking names – has been fleshed out onscreen.
It’s a long shot, but it’s possible Scarlett Johansson will play Natasha Romanoff alongside Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton in flashback footage in the upcoming Hawkeye series.
7 Sam Wilson (Armor War)
One of the many Marvel series coming to Disney + is Armor wars, which will loosely adapt the storyline of the comic book of the same name and revolve around Tony Stark’s tech falling into the wrong hands.
While Don Cheadle is confirmed to lead the series as James Rhodes, the new Captain America could also be pivotal to the story. Anthony Mackie could make an appearance as Sam Wilson on Cheadle’s show, as could Cheadle as Rhodey on Mackie’s show.
6 Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel)
After debuting in her own Disney + series, Ms. Marvel is expected to appear in Captain Marvel 2, which was recently called Wonders to reflect his growing roster of heroes.
In the comics, Carol Danvers is the idol of Kamala Khan. It is possible that Brie Larson will make an appearance as Carol to recruit Kamala for the events of Wonders in the Ms. Marvel final.
5 Thor (Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special)
Technically, The Guardians of the Galaxy vacation special will be just a unique piece, not a series. But if it’s popular, maybe Marvel will ask James Gunn to run some other holiday promotions.
Confirmed to be settled between the events of Thor: Love and Thunder (in which the Guardians must appear) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the intriguing to come Holiday special could see the Guardians celebrating a fictional intergalactic feast with the God of Thunder.
4 Maria Hill (Secret Invasion)
Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn set to helm Marvel’s Secret invasion series as Nick Fury and Talos, respectively, as they determine how much of Earth’s population has been taken over by Skrulls in disguise.
If Jackson reprizes his role as Fury, there’s a good chance his most trusted confidante – Maria Hill, played by Cobie Smulders – could appear on the show as well.
3 Bucky Barnes (Untitled Wakanda Series)
Bucky Barnes was on good terms with the Wakandans after the events of the Avengers movies, because they saved him from his brainwashing in Hydra, and then he helped defend their borders from Thanos’ children.
However, everything changed in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier when Bucky helped Helmut Zemo – the man who killed the King of Wakanda – escape from prison. As Bucky’s relationship with Wakanda becomes more complicated, he could appear in the untitled Wakanda series.
2 Daredevil (She-Hulk)
In the comics, She-Hulk is a lawyer who represents superheroes in court. Ever since Peter Parker found himself in trouble with the law following the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, some fans expect her to make an appearance in her next solo film as a lawyer.
But there is another Marvel hero who has passed the bar and who could represent Peter: Daredevil. Since She-Hulk and Daredevil are both lawyers, the former could bring in the latter as a consultant in her streaming series.
1 Tony Stark (Armor Wars)
Although Tony Stark has been killed in the MCU and will definitely remain dead, Armor wars is confirmed to revolve around the aftermath of Tony’s death as his worst fears come true.
While the series is expected to revolve around James Rhodes grappling with the loss of his best friend, Robert Downey, Jr. could appear alongside his longtime co-star Don Cheadle in flashbacks.
