Many would have been introduced to Kate Bishop of the Hawk Eye TV series on Disney+, but has been featured in the comics since its debut in 2005 Young Avengers #01. Since then, she’s appeared countless times on various shows and slowly befriended Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye.

Considered by many to be the series that inspired the look of the Hawk Eye TV shows, Hawkeye: My Life as a Weapon by Matt Fraction was released in 2013 and collected several issues of Hawk Eye and Young Avengers in volumes. Among them is the 4th issue which saw Clint practice target practice while donning his Ronin costume.

The Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe television series, Hawk Eye, borrows a lot of elements from some of the Marvel comics. From becoming a wanted man to the danger of his character Ronin, the 2012 comic book series of the same name played a huge part in that.

In the 4th issue of Hawk Eye, Clint finds himself in big trouble and tries to pack his bags quickly to escape those who are following him. For his safety in the situation he was in, Clint tells Kate to get away from him, showing how much he appreciates her friendship and her life.

Throughout the Hawk Eye led by Matt Fraction, there are many moments that see their friendships and trust slowly grow through the series. But it also indicates that Clint is ready to teach Kate the ropes of being an Avenger, showing why he’s one of Marvel’s best heroes without superpowers.

During an exchange in issue 3, Clint shows off his many different arrows, one of which is the Boomerang Arrow. Despite her remarks about it, he tries to teach her to respect the weapons and tools they use to fight crime. Without respecting their equipment, they wouldn’t become the best archers we call today in the comics.

Over the years, the bar of several superheroes has been used by other characters in Marvel comics. Most notable was Spider-Man, which was directed by Peter Parker and Miles Morales over the years.

During the first issue of I am an avenger #01, Kate and Clint talk about her taking on the mantle of Hawkeye and becoming the second among the Avengers. Proud of her accomplishments and hard work, Clint tells her she deserves it, continuing to show Marvel fans that anyone can be the hero they want to be.

After being injured, Clint lies in a hospital bed as Kate, Nick Fury and Agent Hill watch over him. Kate approaches him and gently places a hand over his, acknowledging that he is a good person who will do everything possible to protect anyone and showing her respect and esteem for him.

Hawkeye vs. Deadpool

Perhaps one of the most unusual heroes to play alongside the famous archer, Deadpool joins Hawkeye, and the two try to solve a mystery involving SHIELD while trying to battle it out to see who could reach the conclusion first. . But Hawkeye isn’t alone as he teams up with Kate Bishop again to help him out before eventually working with Deadpool himself on one of Hawkeye’s best comic book teams.


In the second issue of Hawkeye vs. Deadpool, the talkative mercenary is unfazed by the ghost of Benjamin Franklin and a naked wizard. But it’s a major shock for Hawkeye and Kate, and they try to confirm each other about their supernatural encounters, trusting each other completely.

In the 5th issue of 2013 Hawk Eye 4th volume of the comic, Kate and Clint’s friendship reaches a whole new level as they try to build and connect. But with years as a spy and a member of SHIELD, it’s not easy for Clint to open up and trust another person the same way he does with Kate.

After Kate watches the video of what she thinks Clint did, they have an intense exchange. This moment would be one of the biggest hurdles in their friendship as she questions her actions as a hero she looks up to.

After their entanglement with land sharks, Kate Bishop and Clint Barton must confront her ex-boyfriend, Noh-Varr, a Kree from an alternate reality. But they are not alone as they enlist the help of the rest of the West Coast Avengers team.

West Coast Avengers #8 saw Kate and Clint discuss their plan to infiltrate an event hosted by Noh-Varr. Poking fun at Clint’s status as a well-known hero and celebrity, their banter knows no bounds as they poke fun at each other and a situation in a room full of other superheroes as well as some of his best friends.

Again, the 2013 Hawk Eye the comic played out another influential moment that defines the unique friendship between Kate and Clint. While covered in bandages, Clint faces his head down as he reconciles a relationship he was in.

Trying to cheer him up, Kate tells him he’s not a bad person, even though the relationship he had didn’t work out. Not only does this show that she cares about him, but it also shows that he confides in the young hero at his lowest moments. It’s just a shame that this comic book series was canceled too soon.

All New Hawkeye Volume 3

Team Hawkeye has demonstrated that despite being just two people, Kate and Clint can pull it off like no other. Although they don’t have any superpowers, their skills and confidence make them a force among the Avengers to be reckoned with.

In the All new Hawkeye 2015 comic series, the sixth issue saw them standing on the beach after completing their last mission. Thinking of leaving, Kate worries about her teammate’s feelings for fighting crime solo. But Clint understands how she feels, expressing that he can’t be mad at his best friend.
