8 new thriller movies and TV shows to watch in June 2021

Lisey’s story

Another Stephen King novel fits the screen, this time by King himself, as he is the writer of the Apple TV + series, Lisey’s story, which features a cast of stars like Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and many more. A few years after her husband’s death, titular Lisey is set on a mysterious treasure hunt while facing pressure to publish her husband’s unpublished works by some more than worrying numbers.

Written by Stephen King and directed by Pablo Larraín, Lisey’s Story stars Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Joan Allen, Dane DeHaan, Ron Cephas Jones and Sung Kang. The first two episodes arrive on Apple TV + on Friday, June 4, 2021, with additional episodes airing each Friday thereafter.


Loki marks the third Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney + series, and although it falls into the broad category of superhero media, the trailers promise a thrilling spectacle as the titular God of Mischief works alongside the Time Variance Authority to correct the timeline he missed. Whether it’s revisiting historical events or pointing planes, Loki seems to have his hands full and fans can expect the unexpected.

McRoberts is the perfect sitcom wife; however, she eventually manages to escape her husband’s story, leading to his personal revolution, which may include alcohol, drugs, and future murder.

Kevin Can F ** k Himself stars Allison McRoberts and premieres on AMC + on June 13, 2021.

Bodyguard of the Hitman’s Wife

Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are back on another deadly mission, this time bringing Salma Hayek with them. Monitoring The hitman’s bodyguard, the hitman’s wife’s bodyguard sees Reynolds’ Bryce pushed to the limit as he attempts to protect Darius Kincaid from Jackson and Sonia Kincaid from Hayek while saving Europe from antagonist Antonio Banderas.

Directed by Patrick Hughes, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L.
