“Black Widow”

Release date: July 9, 2021

Director: Cate shortland

Discard: Scarlett Johansson, David Harbor, Florence Pugh, OT Fagbenle and Rachel Weisz

Parcel: Fans have always wanted a Widow solo movie, and the time is almost right. The story will take place between “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War”. Set as an international spy thriller, Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) confronts her demons from the past. The film will be sending Romanoff, and the introduction of her counterpart Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh, “Midsommar”) is expected to take over.

“Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings”

Release date: September 3, 2021

Director / screenwriter: Destiny Daniel Cretton

Discard: Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng

Parcel: The master martial artist, Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), will be Marvel’s first Asian superhero to hit the big screen. Shang-Chi faces trials and tribulations from her past as a mysterious organization, the Ten Rings, quickly draws her in. Fans will finally see the real-life version of the villain, Mandarin, who erroneously appeared in “Iron Man 3,” as characters Trevor Slattery (Ben Kinsley) and Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce). The Ten Rings organization has been looming in the backdrop of the MCU since the first “Iron Man” movie, so expect answers to lingering questions.

Release date: November 5, 2021

Director / screenwriter: Chloe Zhao

Discard: Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee and Kit Harrington

Parcel: “Eternals” will give audiences their first glimpse of a whole new team of superheroes coming to the MCU. However, they are not your average hero group. The Eternals are ancient beings who have protected the Earth in secret for thousands of years. After the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, the Eternals are forced into hiding due to an unforeseen disaster. They will find themselves pitted against their opposites, the Deviants, who are Earth’s most primordial antagonists. The film has a star-studded cast, and director / screenwriter Chloe Zhao recently won the Oscar for Best Director at the “Oscars 2021”, so expect a visual feast. “Eternals” is by far my most anticipated MCU movie of the year.

Release date: December 17, 2021

Director: Jon watts

Discard: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon

Parcel: We don’t know much about the story. “No Way Home” is expected to follow the events of Spidey’s latest adventure, “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. A few actors are reprising their roles from previous Spider-Man films before Tom Holland became the final web-slinger, but I’ll keep that as a surprise. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is the final MCU movie of 2021 and is sure to be a smash hit at the box office during the holiday season.

Release date: March 25, 2022

Director: Sam raimi

Discard: Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Xochitl Gomez

Parcel: Steven Strange / Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) returns for the first MCU horror movie. Yes, that’s right, the first MCU horror movie. Marvel made the right choice by hiring director Sam Raimi, who has tremendous experience in the horror genre as he is the originator of “The Evil Dead”. Raimi also directed the first “Spider-Man” trilogy with Tobey Maguire, so it’s safe to say he’s well equipped to take on this project. The second film “Doctor Strange” is directly linked to the consequences of the events of the Disney + series “WandaVision”. I highly recommend donating a watch to this show before diving into the “Multiverse of Madness” in spring 2022.

“Thor: love and thunder”

Release date: May 6, 2022

Director / screenwriter: Taika Waititi

Parcel: The plot is still secret. Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) fourth film will follow the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” so expect another hysterical collaboration with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and the Guardians of the Galaxy. The God of Thunder’s love interest, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), will return and transition to Mighty Thor; fans can’t wait to see how it goes. Director / screenwriter Taika Waititi returns after his beloved 2017 film “Thor: Ragnarok”. “Thor: Love and Thunder” will kick off the summer 2022 film season as another welcoming addition to the MCU.

Discard: Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Letitia Wright

Parcel: Director and writer Ryan Coogler has changed the storyline since the heartbreaking death of “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman in 2020. According to one Tweeter of Disney on December 10, 2020, Marvel Studios will not be recasting the role of T’Challa / Black Panther. Instead, “Wakanda Forever” will continue the story of the characters introduced in the first film while further exploring the unprecedented world of Wakanda.

Captain Marvel 2 (Wonders)”

Release date: November 11, 2022

Director: Nia DaCosta

Discard: Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani

Parcel: What we know so far about Captain Marvel 2 is that we are getting an amazing female squad. “The Marvels” will continue the story of Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and the subsequent appearance of Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who debuted in the Disney + series “WandaVision”. Another reason to get excited about “The Marvels” comes from the addition of Marvel’s first Pakistani-American Muslim character, Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), making his MCU debut in the upcoming Disney + series. , “Ms. Wonder.”

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”

Director: Peyton reed

Discard: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton and Jonathan Majors

Parcel: Continuation of the adventures of Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne / the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). The film has the potential to conceive of another notable MCU villain in Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors, “Lovecraft Country”), an intelligent being with the power of time travel. Director Peyton Reed and most of the cast from previous Ant-Man films are returning for the third outing with Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Director / screenwriter: James gunn

Discard: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Sean Gunn

Parcel: We have yet to find out more about the third movie, but expect another hilarious adventure with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his gang of big-mouthed friends from across the Marvel Galaxy. The entire cast we know and love and director / writer James Gunn are back, so the project is in good hands. Expect “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” to be another standout MCU blockbuster in the summer of 2023.
