Black Widow Surrounded By Destruction In New Look

Black Widow will be the first new Marvel CInematic Universe in theaters since 2019 Spider-Man: Far From Home, although its story takes place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, with Natasha facing losing threads from her past.

“Today’s announcement reflects our goal of providing choice to consumers and serving the changing preferences of the public,” said Kareem Daniel, president of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, in the press release announcing the postponement and the change of platform. a vibrant market starting to recover from the global pandemic, we will continue to use the best options to bring The Walt Disney Company’s unparalleled storytelling to fans and families around the world. “

The film features Florence Pugh’s Marvel cinematic debut as Yelena Belova. Many fans suspect that she will be the MCU’s new black widow after Natasha’s death in Avengers: Endgame.

“[Director] Cate [Shortland] was so good at being so vigilant in keeping this raw and painful story, ”Pugh said in a 2020 interview with Indie Wire. “It’s all about the emotions, and it’s about those broken girls trying to pull themselves together and try to fix something that’s happened. It’s about fixing yourself and how you do it. As an idea for a Marvel movie, and as a young lady, it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, that’s amazing.’ Young women are going to see this, and they’re going to look at Scarlett in her element, and they’re going to look at this script, and that’s just a positive thing.
