British actress Emily Blunt, who was offered the role of Black Widow in the MCU’s Iron Man before it finally passed to Scarlett Johansson, was recently honest about turning down the role.
The actress, in a conversation on The Howard Stern Show, opened up about the rejection of the role of Black Widow before it was given to Scarlett Johansson, saying, “ It bothers my heart. ”
The role was a letter offered to another charming actress Johansson who played it perfectly.
The 38-year-old British actress shed light on her decision to turn down the epic role, saying she was busy filming The Devil Wears Prada and had signed a contract with 20th Century Fox who would have her star in Prada , and also, another film of Fox’s choice.
The Devil Wears Prada launched Emily to stardom, but Fox then opted to have her star in Gulliver’s Travels as a second film.
Explaining more about the move, Blunt said, “I really want to clean up the story.” She added, “I was hired to do“ Gulliver’s Travels. ”I didn’t want to do“ Gulliver’s Travels. ”She called it“ a little heart breaker.
