Ever since Disney bought Fox, fans have been wondering when Ryan Reynolds will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The official confirmation that the character would be brought into the MCU has only fueled speculation. Then came the Multiverse of Madness.

This seems like the perfect opportunity for Deadpool to slip in, whether he’s playing a major plot role or just showing up in a post-credits scene. However, after Marvel released a new poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesssome fans may have noticed an exciting new clue.

New Doctor Strange 2 the poster is full of small details. This even seems to confirm the live arrival of Captain Carter from What if…? as a piece of his UK-themed shield. But is there also Deadpool?

You kind of have to squint to see it, but honestly, that shard of dark glass really does look like Deadpool.

Of course, you have to take this with a grain of salt. On the one hand, it seems unlikely that Marvel will officially reveal Deadpool’s MCU debut with a blurry image of him hidden in a movie poster. Then again, given his fourth-wall-breaking powers, it makes sense to have him hide in plain sight while staring directly at fans and asking them not to let go of the secret.

Luckily, Marvel seems less concerned with giving big cameos for Multiverse of Madness than he did with Spider-Man: No Coming Home. The latest trailer seemingly confirmed Patrick Stewart’s return as Professor X via narration, so if Deadpool is a major part of this movie, we’ll probably find out very soon.
