Before Disney came and bought Marvel Entertainment In 2009, Marvel outsourced its films and gave other studios the film rights to particular characters, including giving the X Men and dead Pool characters at 20th Century Fox.
However, fans were excited in 2020 when Disney announced the acquisition of Fox and therefore the possibility of adding the X Men films at Disney Plus and possibly The Marvel Cinematic Universe. Naturally, people thought that dead Pool, which is from the same universe as the X Men, would also appear in The MCU. Well that’s great news because it looks like we don’t need to wait any longer!
Deadpool 3 is confirmed by Marvel
In an interview with Collider, Marvel Studios director Kevin Feige confirmed Deadpool will enter the MCU In Deadpool 3!
“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan is overseeing a script right now… It won’t be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy and very successful actor. We’ve already announced a number of things we now need to do, but it’s exciting that it’s started. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just great to see him bring that character to life.
Given that Ryan Reynolds currently has his hands full with projects like Welcome to Wrexham, Looks like Deadpool 3 won’t start filming until 2022 at the earliest. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see Deadpool before we play a cameo in another movie. While nothing has been confirmed, it might seem extremely plausible that the Mercenary with a Maw could appear in the end of the credit streak. Thor 4: Love and Thunder with his own thoughts or announcement. Fingers crossed!
dead Pool Maintain your R rating at Disney
It will be interesting to see how the character evolves in Deadpool 3. With Feige confirming the pursuit of his R rating, we’re sure there will be plenty of crass jokes and silly punches throughout the MCU, not to mention the hilarious trivia about portraying Wolverine and Reynolds as Green Lantern.
As Deadpool 2016 was the first Marvel R-rated film, producers at Fox were concerned about how well the film was received by critics. However, the film ended up being 20th Century Fox’s most successful superhero film, beating all X Men cinema. It is still the third highest grossing R-rated film of all time (beaten only by Deadpool 2 and Joker). Therefore, with the power of Disney behind him now, it’s entirely possible that Deadpool 3 could take that first place.
However, this raises another question about where one can look Deadpool 3 after its release. Due to its Rated R rating and Disney being a family channel, it looks like Disney Plus has refrained from adding currently dead Pool to its list of streaming movies. But who knows, that may change depending on its high demand.
