LAPD North Hollywood officers arrest suspect in reported theft

LOS ANGELES – Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department of the North Hollywood Community Police Station arrested a robbery suspect on Thursday night and seized guns, money and drugs from the suspect, said said a spokesperson for the LAPD.

According to the LAPD, at around 10:55 p.m. Thursday, the department received a call regarding a theft in block 7300 of Atoll Avenue.

LAPD North Hollywood officers Vincenzo Averaimo and Carlos Amaya were at the scene and arrested a suspect in connection with the alleged theft, a police spokesperson said.

The department said officers also discovered the suspect was in possession of two handguns, one stolen and one unregistered, a switchblade knife and $ 17,000 in cash and narcotics. The articles have been filed into evidence, according to the LAPD.

The LAPD posted a photo of the evidence seized in the case on social media, and the department thanked officers Averaimo and Amaya for their work.
