No way home promises to be the most anticipated film since Avengers: Endgame. While the latter was the culmination of the defining phases of Marvel Studios, the former represents a potential homage to the definitive comic book movies. that of Sam Raimi Spider Man (2002) and Fox X Men The franchise has had a profound impact on the current state of superhero cinema and holds a special place in the hearts of fans. Marvel Studios’ partnership with Sony and the acquisition of Fox not only saw the return of Maguire, but the Fantastic Four and X-Men as well.
Outside of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Reynolds’ Deadpool is by far Fox’s most popular character. X Men universe. Unlike other more serious mutants, his irreverence and meta nature negates any continuity issues. The dead Pool franchise can continue relatively unscathed. For example, Reynolds recently made his ironic MCU debut alongside Korg in a promotional video for his latest film, free guy. His official debut will likely be in the first R-rated Disney / Marvel Studios film, Deadpool 3. However, it’s easy to imagine Wade Wilson appearing in Spider-Man: No Path Home make a witty point about Doctor Strange’s sweatpants. If Kevin Feige and the company know what they’re doing (and they’re doing it), they should make full use of Reynolds’ commentary. It might just be the next step.
