Hacks After being dismissed by an inappropriate joke, a young writer titled (Hannah Einbinder) attempts to work with an aging legendary comic book (Jean Smart) in a fight to save both of their careers in the premiere of this comedy drama launched on HBO Max. 10:30 p.m. HBO

Wonder Woman 1984 Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins reworked for this 2020 sequel, which takes place in the mid-1980s, when Wonder Woman (Gadot) and her past love Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) face two perils in a man from corrupt business and a con artist (Pedro Pascal) and an insecure geologist (Kristen Wiig) who turns into a supervillain. Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen also star and there’s a Wonder Woman cameo from TV, Lynda Carter. 8 p.m. HBO

Dreamland In Depression-era Texas Dustbowl, a father (Finn Cole) learns of a bank robbery in a nearby town in which five people have been killed. There’s also a $ 20,000 bounty on the bank robber (Margot Robbie) in director Miles Joris-Peyrafitte’s 2019 thriller. Also on the bill are Travis Fimmel and Garrett Hedlund. 9:00 p.m. Showtime
